A little bit about me

I am a dork (and a bit of a nerd). I have a childish sense of humor, like a 12-year-old boy. I have 6 tattoos. I overthink things. I am terrible at texting people back. I'm pretty sure I have liked everyone I've ever met. I love coffee. I have a goofy laugh. I cry at most movies. I've ridden my bike the length of the Erie Canal, and the length of the East and West Coasts of the US. I want to do a "legit" Transcon someday. I love a hoppy IPA at the end of the day.

I am the mother of two awesome boys, 17 and 21. I am also a scientist with a biochemistry, biophysics, and systems biology modeling background. I work for Certara providing mathematical modeling support to the pharma and biotech industry. In 2nd grade, after seeing paramecium through the microscope, I decided I wanted to be a scientist. I am fortunate to have a career doing something that brings me joy. I wicked love my job.

I also love being outdoors. Riding my bike and running are two of my favorite things, especially in the woods on steep gnarly trails (flowy ones are fine, too). I also enjoy pushing myself and have confidently, and sometimes sheepishly, said "yes" to challenges and adventures as much as possible. I am surrounded by adventurous friends who may not realize how much they help me work towards one of my biggest goals in life - accomplish things that impress my boys.

Check out some of the links below to share in my adventures.
