Death Valley

Cycling tour 2016

In early 2016, I put a shout-out to girlfriends inviting them to join me on a  cycling trip in Death Valley. The only one who was crazy enough to say yes was my friend Lisa. We flew into Vegas and were picked up by our guide Tyler, of Pure Adventures. He took us to Beatty Nevada before starting a 5-day tour of this amazing landscape. This trip sparked my interest in bike touring and bikepacking.
Here are some pictures.

Moab

Me and my Sweet Cooper

In 2017, Mirela was heading out to Moab to run in the Dead Horse Ultramarathon and suggested I meet her out there. I decided to do a long weekend with my 15-year-old.  We had a blast biking and Mirela killed it on her race.

Bentonville

Pilgrimage 2018

Lisa coordinated this awesome girls' trip to visit the mountain biking mecca of Bentonville.  The area is rich with professionally built trails funded by Walmart to provide recreational activities for their employees and to bring in business. The trails are fabulous and the town is adorable. Take my money, please! These are pictures of me, Tricia, and Lisa on the trails plus a couple from the Crystal Bridges Museum

Bentonville (again)

With my sweet boys

I had so much fun visiting the trails in Bentonville that I HAD to return with my boys. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal, so we only had one day to rent mountain bikes and enjoy the trails. We did have time to see a superhero exhibit at the Crystal Bridges museum, see Christ in the Ozarks, and check out the Three State Line, though.
